Working in-house at Formula One for seven years was a great opportunity to work on incredible design projects. My challenge every year was to re-conceptualise the look and feel for each upcoming Formula One season within a small design team. Once approved, final designs would then be rolled out across each country hosting the race.
Posters, programmes, passes, podium designs, tickets and many other items were required as standard, yet the design and finishes were anything but. As such, art direction played a huge part of my role, working closely with photographers, 3D designers and post production houses to ensure that perfection in high-end design was achieved every time.
Marrying traditional print processes with cutting edge new techniques to ensure that the brand of Formula 1 always stayed where it should be. Number one on the leaderboard.
